A rigid (set-up) box is made from thick greyboard wrapped in paper — it holds its shape, feels premium and is usually shipped pre-assembled. A folding carton is thin printed card that ships flat and is folded on site. Rigid boxes cost more but convey a higher-end product; folding cartons are cheaper and freight-efficient.

For rigid set-up boxes the board is typically 1.5–2 mm greyboard; the wrap paper is 157 gsm coated or comparable specialty stock. Heavier items or larger boxes use thicker board. We recommend the exact specification after seeing your product weight and dimensions.

Standard sizes reuse existing forms with little or no tooling cost. A fully custom size requires a new die-cutting form, which is why custom-dimension orders usually start around 500 pieces. We always confirm any tooling fee in writing before you commit.

Yes — foil stamping, spot UV, embossing/debossing and full-colour print are all supported. Foil and emboss are the most popular for gift boxes because they read as premium without a large minimum.

Yes. Samples are available for most products. Sample cost and freight are quoted per request and are often deductible from the bulk order once production is confirmed.
